As many of you know, back in 1990 I lost my precious triplets, James, Justin and Chelsee. When I initially found out I was pregnant with 3 babies I couldn't believe what I was hearing! As my belly began to grow, I starting purchasing everything right away, 3 cribs, onesie's, blankets, even a stroller! At 14 weeks I went into labor...this about broke my heart, I had no idea what was happening. I ended up in the hospital while my husband was overseas in the Persian Gulf, I was ...alone and afraid. All I knew was I had to do whatever was in my powers to save my babies. I was rushed into emergency surgery and the doctors performed a cervical cerclage in hopes to save my babies. I was then hospitalized for the next 7 weeks on complete bedrest, hoping and praying daily that my labor would stop...unfortunately even with all the medication and intervention nothing was going to work. After much prayers between myself and the Chaplin I finally had to give it all to God and believe this was what was planned for me. On Dec 19, 1990 I gave birth to 3 beautiful babies. Justin and Chelsee both lived for approximately 3 hours and my sweet baby James hung in there for about 16 hours, He was a fighter! Please help me memorialize my 3 sweet angels and support the Tears Foundation this year as I embark on my first Rock and Walk! I am hoping to raise enough money so that I can have their names engraved in the TEARS Angel of Hope Monument in Federal Way Washington
The TEARS Foundation is offering an exciting opportunity for the community to become involved with a growing and inspiring event. The TEARS Foundation's Rock & Walk is the signature fundraising event for TEARS. This annual event allows registered walkers to “walk” in honor of a child, or simply in support of others. Each team of walkers is also registered to “rock” in the rocking chairs placed at the event site. Rocking chairs signify the heart of the walk, which is to raise funds for families who have lost a baby and are in need of funeral assistance and emotional support services.
