BENEFITING: TREE HOUSE HUMANE SOCIETY
The Tree House Community Cats team sterilizes and vaccinates free-roaming cats and kittens through a process called Trap, Neuter, Return (TNR). Many cats living on the streets are feral, meaning that they are not socialized to people. Feral cats incur tremendous stress indoors, and because they are terrified of humans, they are not good candidates to go into shelters. Tree House makes every effort to rescue friendly cats and kittens, and feral kittens that can be socialized. We bring these cats inside, provide the vetting and care they need before placing them in our no-kill adoption program. Costs associated with vetting and care can easily exceed $100 per cat that our Community Cats team rescues. Every dollar counts towards helping another cat.
