Through the inspiration of Summit community ninja Travis John Brewer, we are building a tree lodge in the woods!
The tree lodge project will host Summit Institute events and serve as an inspiring gathering place in the trees atop Powder Mountain. It will also be a public place for all to enjoy year round, skiing in during the winter and hanging out in the Summer.
The total build for the cost comes out to $87,054. The build is complex, as it needs to be a tremendously strong, structure supporting platform built in trees that have grown tall for hundreds of years. Our eco-friendly build along with materials used to preserve the trees as much as possible has driven up the build cost higher than anticipated, but with your support we can get there soon! The build cost is $52,000 and the cost of the mounts for the trees are $15, alone. The rest is going towards labor, logistics, maintenance, and permits. This also includes funds for lifetime caretaking of the project by the Summit Community Institute to preserve this sanctuary for decades to come.
We need to hit the $60,000 mark by September 6th to be able to break ground on the 7th, and the rest of the funds will complete the project by mid-October.
We have gotten to our current fundraising total in large part because of a generous contribution from the Brewer family, but we've also received a lot of individual support through donations for the project.
Every bit counts, we are grateful for anything you can contribute.
All donations are als FULLY tax deductible, as it is a non-profit project for the Summit Community Institute
Donations of $5,000 or more will receive a complimentary overnight camp out in the tree lodge, fully at the service of Steven Tromberg and Josh Eichenbaum.
Thank you so much, please help make this dream a reality!
With gratitude from Summit Series, Summit Powder Mountain, and the Summit Community Institute
