THE STORY:

DEAR WORLD, WE ARE DONE LOOKING AT THINGS IN BLACK AND WHITE, YES AND NO, RIGHT AND WRONG. WE ARE THE GENERATION OF COLOR, OF ANALYSIS AND PROBABILITY, OF THINKING OUTSIDE OF THE BOX, OF PAINTING OUTSIDE THE LINES. WE ARE FED UP WITH HOW THE EAT OR BE EATEN WORLD CURRENTLY RUNS. WE ARE FED UP SQUANDERING OUR YOUTH IN DULL CLASSROOMS WHERE PEOPLE WHO WEAR THEIR INTELLIGENCE ON PIECES OF PAPER TELL US WHAT IS RIGHT AND WHAT IS WRONG. WE HAVE HAD ENOUGH. WE ARE PARTICULARLY FED UP WITH THE ADVERTISING AND MARKETING INDUSTRY. IT’S AN INDUSTRY THAT TREATS PEOPLE LIKE COUPON-CUTTING ROBOTS. “HALF OFF TODAY ONLY”, “BUY ONE GET ONE FREE”, “LOOK AT THIS NEW SHINY THING”. WE DON’T WANT ANOTHER “THING”. WE WANT PURPOSE. WE WANT VALUE. WE WANT EXPERIENCES. WE WANT TO MAKE THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE. PLEASE HELP US. WE WANT TO CREATE A TOMS SHOE COMPANY MODEL OF SOCIETY. WE WANT TO INGRAIN PURPOSE AND GIVING BACK INTO EVERY ASPECT OF OUR LIFE. WHEN WE EAT DINNER, WE WANT A PORTION OF THAT GOING TO SOMEONE IN NEED OF FOOD. WHEN WE PARTY DOWNTOWN, WE WANT A PORTION OF OUR BEER BEING SENT DIRECTLY BY THAT BUSINESS TO A PERSON IN NEED OF WATER. WE WANT TO LIVE IN A WORLD WHERE PURPOSE IS INGRAINED INTO EVERY ASPECT OF OUR LIFE. EVERY TIME WE EAT A MEAL, WHY CAN’T WE SET ASIDE 15% OR MORE OF THAT, AND GIVE IT TO THE STARVING IN AFRICA? WE CURRENTLY HAVE THE MEANS TO DO SO. WE LIVE IN A MONEY-RUN AGE OF HYPER-CONNECTIVITY. WE DON’T NEED TO PHYSICALLY FEED THE HOMELESS EVERY TIME WE WANT TO DO SOME GOOD. WE CAN TRANSFORM THAT 15% OF FOOD INTO THIS MAGICAL THING WE CALL MONEY. INSTEAD OF PHYSICALLY SAVING 15% OR 30%, FOR EXAMPLE, OF THE FOOD ON YOUR PLATE TO PHYSICALLY FEED IT TO SOMEONE IN NEED, WE CAN TRANSFORM THAT PORTION OF THE FOOD ON YOUR PLATE INTO MONEY, TRANSFER IT TO WHEREVER IT IS NEEDED, AND THEN TRANSFORM THAT MONEY BACK INTO FOOD. LIVING IN A FREE-MARKET AGE OF HYPER-CONNECTIVITY MEANS THAT ONCE AN IDEA IS BIRTHED, AND THERE IS A DEMAND FOR ENTITIES THAT MAKE IT EASIER FOR SOCIETY TO, FOR EXAMPLE, GIVE 15% OF THE FOOD ON THEIR PLATE TO THOSE IN NEED, THE FREE-MARKET STEPS IN AND “MAKES IT HAPPEN”. WE IMPLEMENT THIS BY CAPITALIZING ON SOMETHING WE CAN ALL AGREE IS PRETTY COOL: THE HUMAN ELEMENT. ELTON JOHN PUTS IT WELL, SAYING: “BUT ALL ARE AGREED AS THEY JOIN THE STAMPEDE - YOU SHOULD NEVER TAKE MORE THAN YOU GIVE”. IT’S INGRAINED IN HUMAN NATURE TO GIVE, BUT SOCIETY CURRENTLY MAKES IT HARD TO DO SO. TOGETHER WE CAN MAKE THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE IF THIS VISION SUCCEEDS, IT WOULD MEAN TAKING THE WEALTH OUT OF THE 1%, OUT OF THE MARKETING AND ADVERTISING ELITE, AND GIVING IT BACK TO THE HEART OF THE UNITED STATES: THE MIDDLE-CLASS, AND PURPOSE-DRIVEN BUSINESSES. LETS TAKE THE FOCUS OFF OF MONEY, AND PUT IT BACK ON OUR ROOTS: EXPERIENCES AND PURPOSE. SPREAD THE LOVE. SPREAD THE LIFE
