It's Kitten Season!
Help us save more than 1,000 stray kittens this year
Raise funds to support our efforts to save thousands of stray kittens like the "Ivy Kittens".
These adorable kittens' mom was a feral cat. This mother cat had incredible instinct, and to protect her kittens from predators, she climbed a tree and then created a 'nest' in a patch of ivy on the side of a building to give birth to her kittens.
Thankfully, a Good Samaritan found this mom and her litter and when the kittens were old enough, we rescued them to give them a chance at finding a forever home. All kittens are currently in fosters homes and will soon be available for adoption.
Kitten season is the time of year when thousands of stray kittens are born. Sadly, approximately half of these kittens do not survive. Additionally, many kittens who are rescued are taken to traditional animal shelters and euthanized.

Tree House was one of the first cageless, no-kill shelters in the country. Since our founding in 1971, we have adopted out more than 20,000 animals and performed more than 30,000 free and low-cost spay/neuter surgeries. We also help countless cats and dogs through our community programs and services including our Low-cost Spay/Neuter and Wellness Clinic, Community Cats Program, Animal Assisted Therapy, Education Outreach, free Behavior Counseling Program, and Pet Food Pantry.
On an annual basis, we rescue more than 1,500 homeless cats (more than 400 of them suffer from serious illnesses, injuries, cruel abuse, or struggle with chronic medical conditions). Many of these animals would have nowhere else to go. There are more than 300,000 stray cats in the city of Chicago and each year 3-4 million cats and dogs are euthanized in the U.S. Join us and help us achieve our goal of creating a no-kill Chicago and leading the way to a no-kill Nation!
