BENEFITING: Wildlands Network
In February 2013 Wildlands Network and its partners, will launch TrekWest’s 5,000-mile route through the “Western Wildway.” John will begin in Sonora, Mexico’s Sierra Madre Occidental, follow the spine of the majestic Rocky Mountains, and end the trek at the “Crown of the Continent” in British Columbia. Combining his unbridled passion of nature and wilderness with a strong suit of perseverance, he will hike, bike and paddle the West to reveal what stands to be lost, and identify the solutions to save it.
Where has our “Wild” West gone? TrekWest adventurer John Davis believes, if we learn to work together now, we can save the wild lands and animals we love so much. Live his 10-month, human-powered journey. Experience life on the wild side. And join a growing Wildlands Network of heroes working to connect and protect safe pathways for wildlife and create healthier communities in the West.
Follow and support John’s 5,000-mile trail– all the way from Mexico to Canada along the paths of cougars, jaguars and grizzlies and discover where and how to remove wildlife barriers and connect wild places.
