BENEFITING: ART CREATION FOUNDATION FOR CHILDREN INC
On July 26 I'm attempting my first ever half Ironman triathlon (70.3 miles). Motivating me along the way is the hope that we can raise $7,030 for the Art Creation Foundation for Children in Jacmel, Haiti.
I first met the amazing young artists at ACFFC after the 2010 earthquake, when Laurel True and I travelled to Haiti to help the kids create a beautiful Tree of Life mosaic mural. Since then, the kids have been hard at work installing mosaic murals all over town. Tourists are now coming to Jacmel just to see the murals! These children live in extreme poverty and depend on ACFFC not only for art instruction, but also basic food and school. ACFFC ensures that 100 children can pay for school fees, books, exams, tuition and uniforms each year. For every tax-deductable dollar you give, my employer (the Hewlett Foundation) and I will match it. Let's do this!!!
