BENEFITING: EAST AFRICA CHILDRENS HOPE INC
This year I have embarked on a challenge that has proved much harder than I ever expected. I have always wanted to do a triathlon, but have always been afraid of the swimming. I've never been a swimmer - I can barely float! But by chance, I became familiar with a wonderful charity (East Africa Children's Hope) that makes a direct benefit in the lives of East African Children and has a mission of education, which I love.
On September 8th, I am going to complete my first triathlon and swim a mile before biking 25 miles and running 6 miles. Each stroke of that swim will be for the kids benefiting from the money raised and for each of you that help - there is no way I'll finish that without your support.
And for good measure, I will run the New York Marathon a little under 2 months later. This will be my third, and likely last, New York Marathon. I look forward to completing both events with your help, support, and most importantly, generosity for those who aspire to have an opportunity to learn.
