As some of you may know, my dear friend (and my first girlfriend) Jennifer Schwartz, was recently diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, a type of cancer that compromises your body’s ability to fight infection. In an effort to show Jennifer that she is not in this fight alone, I am training to compete in the Publix Escape to Miami Triathlon on September 23rd to raise money for the Lymphoma Research Foundation.
Jennifer Schwartz grew up in Miami, Florida and was a student at Ransom Everglades High School. Jennifer attended and graduated from the University of Michigan and is now a beautiful 23-year-old active woman currently attending nursing school at the University of Miami. Jenn is one of the kindest people I have ever met and as always, as she faces this most difficult life challenge of the diagnoses of cancer and chemotherapy, she still has a gorgeous smile on her face.
The Lymphoma Research Foundation (LRF) is the nation's largest non-profit organization devoted exclusively to funding innovative lymphoma research and providing people with lymphoma and healthcare professionals with up-to-date information about this type of cancer. LRF's mission is to eradicate lymphoma and serve those touched by this disease.
No donation is too small. Please take the time to forward this to friends and family that you think will be interested in donating. Jenn and I both deeply appreciate your consideration in this regard.
