Welcome to TriHelping!
I am an avid runner and have competed in a few Ironman triathlons. I'm motivated by the ability to place mind over matter – the mental challenge of overcoming insurmountable obstacles to cross the finish line. My ability to successfully compete in the Ironman race is reliant on the support and sacrifices of my family, friends, and fellow athletes who are doing what they can to support me in crossing the finish line.
I’m creating trihelping to share my inspirational journey with others and promote social programs that I believe are consistent with what the Ironman competition is all about. This year, I have selected Building Healthy Communities (BHC) which is a ministry of the Sisters of Charity Health System. BHC is a program serving urban youth in one of the most economically disadvantaged neighborhoods in the City of Cleveland. Every day the program helps children and adults to learn about healthy activities and foods, improve one’s life style, increase self-esteem, and learn about the importance of education and hard work.
Please visit www.trihelping.org to learn more about BHC. Most importantly, I invite you to join me in shared sacrifice and shared benefit for a healthier tomorrow.
