Help Us Raise $30K in 30 Days!
Trinitas Health Foundation is raising $30,000 in 30 days (1/1/16 - 1/30/16) towards the expansion of the TRMC Emergency Department.
The Proud Past-Promising Future Emergency Department (ED) Capital Campaign is an $18 Million project which will dramatically improve our ED’s ability to manage its extremely high volume and patient acuity levels.
Currently, Trinitas’ ED manages 73,000 patient visits per year in a facility designed to serve 45,000. Our plan will nearly double the number of patient beds, provide immediate access to advanced diagnostic equipment and create environmentally appropriate units for pediatric, geriatric, behavioral health and non-emergent patients.
Trinitas Regional Medical Center is the only hospital in Elizabeth, NJ’s 4th largest city, and one of only three acute care hospitals left to serve Union County, which has a population of 548,000 people. Trinitas has 549 beds, including a 120-bed long term care center, and conducted 469,000 patient visits in 2014.
Trinitas is an urban community hospital serving a disadvantaged and challenging population. One of New Jersey’s foremost safety net hospitals, Trinitas manages one of the largest charity care programs in the State.
