Girls Matter. Less than two cents of every international dollar are directed towards adolescent girls.
Girls are the catalyst for a positive multiplier effect. Girls education and skill building, and in turn, their participation in economic activity is key to the growth and competitiveness of global economies. An educated girl effects change.
TRIPLE HEARTS is a global campaign to educate and empower women to be powerful agents of change. We hope to start a ripple effect by helping women help themselves. Your Heart. Her Heart. Our Heart.
HOW does it work:
Triple Hearts works with effective philanthropic organizations to create transparent, high-impact, girls’ count initiatives for Triple Hearts to fund. All of the projects heal, strengthen, encourage and empower women to achieve economic independence and entrepreneurial success. Each project is created with the intention of starting a ripple effect. We hope to empower one, who in turn, will empower others.
The Harpswell Foundation, a Nongovernmental Organization in Cambodia, focuses on the brightest young women possessing leadership potential and helps them nourish their potential to become active leaders for social change in their communities and throughout the world.
WHAT are we funding:
Triple Hearts will be working with Harpswell Foundation to fund the center’s leadership training program that focuses on current events, critical thinking exercises and self-esteem building. Each week, the center managers give seminars, where they discuss the challenges and opportunities for women leaders. The center also holds an annual one-day leadership and empowerment conference for the Harpswell residents.
WHY sponsor me:
Triple Hearts is about starting a ripple effect. Its about paying your heart forward in hopes that others will do the same.
This October I will be traveling to Cambodia to kick start the Triple Hearts movement. In addition to working with Harpswell girls, I will be attending a TEDx conference in Phnom Penh and conducting a photo journal tour of Cambodia with the Pari Project.
