Thank You for Visiting my Fundraising Page!
My name is Eddie Salazar, I am an instructor for Triumph Cancer Foundation. I am also a fellow cancer survivor. I understand the plight of cancer patients and survivors because I have endured it myself first handedly. I was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma at the age of 21. It took me a year to fully recover. While going through this life-altering event, I have understood the most important part of the healing process. It is a healthy lifestyle that includes exercise.
The path for a cancer survivor is a difficult one in that it does not end when treatment ends. The body is always on a continuous path of healing. The body presents new challenges to a survivor who already has been through so much. Triumph Cancer Foundation provides healthy opportunities in the journey to recovery for survivors in our Sacramento region. We offer cancer survivors regardless of diagnosis, a 12-week program that is geared toward improving the overall quality of life through a healthy regimen of exercise and diet. We guide our participants through exercises in a safe and enjoyable environment.
The transformation that occurs within those 12 weeks is not only a physical one but is emotional as well as mental. I am extremely fortunate to have had the opportunity to directly impact the lives of many survivors. I will continue to by pledging to climb Mount Tallac with past participants of Triumph Cancer Foundation and fellow cancer survivors. While doing this, we will raise awareness and support for this beautiful program! It is my life’s purpose to pay it forward. My first goal is to raise $2,000. My ultimate mission is to put two survivors through Triumph Cancer Foundation’s program. Please join me by helping me do this by donating to my cause!
