Abby is an honor roll senior at Hilliard Darby High School. She works incredibly hard in school and she gets results. When she's not studying, she's probably at the barn taking care of her horse, Twinkie.
One might say Twinkie is Abby's baby, but Twinkie had a baby of her own on April 6th. Abby was there every step of the way through the pregnancy. She anxiously awaited the day the baby would arrive and even posted on facebook about feeling the baby kick for the first time. As the day came close, Abby stayed by Twinkie's side for two long nights while she labored to give birth. Finally, on the third night, along came a wonderful little colt.
The colt quickly took to his equine mom as well as his human mom, Abby. As soon as he was up walking, the colt did everything he could to badger, torment and generally make his two moms crazy. Thats how Abby decided to name him Trouble.
On Monday, April 21, Abby noticed Trouble wasn't feeling well. He usually jumps and runs without a care in the world but today was different. He seemed lethargic, weak and very sad. Abby quickly realized that Trouble was in trouble. She called the vet and Trouble was diagnosed with potentially fatal colic. He was imediately taken to OSU in an attempt to save his life.
We dont know what the outcome will be, but Abby will be facing a major bill for Trouble- especially if he needs an operation. She is an oustanding young lady and she, along with Trouble, could really use your help. Please donate to help her cover the costs of saving his life. Every little bit helps.
