THE STORY:

Tshering Dorjee Sherpa was my mountain guide on two epic treks to Everest Base Camp and summits of Kalapatar and Lobuche East Peak. He is such a sweet, kind, and caring person. He gave me a lot of freedom on the mountain until that exact moment when I needed a steady hand. He was ALWAYS there. On my last adventure, he hugged me afterward and said "You are very strong." It was one of the greatest compliments I have ever received. On the descent this spring from his 15th summit of Mount Everest, Tshering had a stroke. He spent a month in the hospital and has dedicated himself to training so that he can walk again. He will not be able to guide for at least a year and probably longer. This fund will be used to cover his living expenses while he continues his rehabilitation. Please give whatever you can remembering that it will go a long way in Kathmandu. Thank you! Fred Doar
