Tudor's outstanding 2012 summer interns completed a day of service with Robin Hood to benefit grantee Leadership Prep Ocean Hill, a member of the Uncommon Schools Charter Network. This elementary school needed to make room for the new class of rising kindergarteners and in order to do that they expanded to the third floor. The new classrooms needed a lot of love before they open their doors to students this fall.
The interns moved desks, chairs, and countless boxes up and down flights of stairs. They also built bookshelves, organized classrooms, sorted libraries, and beautified every possible inch they could get their hands on.
To keep their spirit of philanthropy alive once their internship ends, they are stepping up to the challenge of incorporating fundraising, advocacy, and volunteering into their lives this year.
Winner takes all. And by all we mean solid bragging rights and a totally awesome prize.
