This November 5th I will be running the NYC Marathon in honor of NYPD Sergeant Terry O'Hara.
On March 10th of this year Terry passed away from Cancer related to his being a first responder on 9/11 and the months afterward. Terry was my childhood friend and cousin. We had great times growing up together that I will always remember with a smile. He left behind an amazing wife, Denise, and 2 young children, Addison and Jackson. He was a warrior who fought his disease in a way that has inspired all who knew him to make the most of our lives and leave a positive legacy.
There have been approximately 2,000 first responders who have passed away from 9/11 related diseases. 6,000 are on the 9/11 registry with some sort of disease. The week Terry passed away 7 other NYPD officers passed away from 9/11 related cancer. The numbers truly shocked me.
I am asking you for 2 things:
1st - Please keep all of these families in your thoughts and prayers. Never Forget 9/11 and the families still being affected
2nd - Help me raise money for Tuesday Children by sponsoring me to run the NYC Marathon in honor of Terry and all First Responders still fighting
Tuesday’s Children is a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving families impacted by Tuesday, September 11, 2001, including military families of the fallen, First Responders and international youth impacted by terrorism and traumatic loss. The programs they provide enable children, families and communities torn apart by acts of violence to heal, recover, and thrive for a lifetime.
Thank you for whatever help you can be

and the Warrior whispers back
"I am the storm"
