EVENT DATE: Apr 20, 2015
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page!
The Boston Marathon is not just a race, it represents dreams, hard work, generosity, hopes, let downs, family, friends, a community, and a possibility of greatness. In 2013 the Boston Marathon was corrupted by violence, and I will work each year I am able to bring back what the Boston Marathon is truly about: bringing people together for something greater than ourselves. Please support me as I set out this year to train and fundraise for the Boston Marathon.
This will be my 7th Boston Marathon, and my training looks a lot different this year, as most of my miles are logged with my little boy beside me. Becoming a mom has inspired me more than ever to show up at the start line for this raise, with my heart full, and my feet on the ground to teach my son that violence will never have the final word.
I again have the privilege to run with Tufts Marathon Team and am committed to raising $3,000 for their school, towards scholarships, grants, the study of health and nutrition, and to make the education of countless students the best it can be. For more information on the history of TMT please read below.
Thank you for all your support!
Each year, 100 runners make the journey from Hopkinton to Boston to support nutrition, medical, and fitness programs at Tufts University, including research on childhood obesity at the Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy.
The Tufts Marathon Team (TMT) is the largest known collegiate marathon program in the United States, attracting runners from around the country.
During the 2014 marathon season, the team raised $467,139. Since its inception in 2003, the TMT has raised more than $4,554,711.
Please support our runners for the 2015 marathon by making a gift online. If you prefer, you can mail in the pledge form to pay by check or credit card offline.
