EVENT: 2015 Boston Marathon
EVENT DATE: Apr 20, 2015
I joined the Tufts Marathon Team this August after a series of surgeries over six years left me in chronic pain facing a decision to either, at 35, resign myself to the situation or take control and returning to fitness. Marathon training has been amazing, I was truly dubious about my capacity to run in the beginning, yet in five months I'm doing training runs up to 13.1 miles - and have run nearly half of the actual Boston Marathon course! As part of the running, I have committed to raising at least US$1,500 to support support research on nutrition and childhood obesity at the Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy.
Training for the marathon has been one of the most inspiring roads I've taken thus far. Share with me the the road from Hopkington to the finish line and consider donating to the Tufts Marathon Team!
