I had the privilege of being introduced to a school just outside of Livingstone, Zambia in the summer of 2010. I spent six weeks volunteering at Tujatane as a teacher exchange participant, representing the private school that I work for in NYC. This opportunity has evolved into what I hope to be a lifelong relationship. Tujatane began with approximately 15 students and has grown to serve 160. Tujatane survives solely on donations, and so I have made it my personal goal to give back to the children and teachers at Tujatane. Tujatane is in need of school supplies, food, medical supplies and classrooms. The money raised here will support the every day needs of the school and a portion of the money will be used to sponsor teachers from Tujatane to visit my school in NYC. Please join me in giving the children of Simonga Village the gift of education.
