BENEFITING: Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation
On Sunday 9/27, Ogilvy will participate in a 5K run/walk to benefit the Tunnel to Towers Foundation. The organization was created to honor the memory of Stephen Siller, a New York City firefighter who died on 9/11/01. Upon hearing of the attack, Stephen tried to drive his truck through the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel to reach Lower Manhattan, but it had already been closed. Rather than simply returning home, he strapped 60 pounds of gear to his back, ran on foot through gridlocked traffic, and raced from the Tunnel to the Towers, where he gave up his life to save others. Your donation to to the Ogilvy team fundraising page will benefit the various programs of the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, including its Building for America's Bravest program, which builds specially-designed smart homes for members of the military who have lost limbs in the service of our country. Thank you in advance for your support.
