THE STORY:

Diane Patrone wrote -

As many of you know, I'm a former triathlete and long distance runner. I got badly injured in a car accident in 2008 that took me out of racing for many years. I've worked really hard to get to this point, to be healed enough to train for a road race....my first race since the car accident...and I cannot think of a better way to mark it than with participating in honoring Stephen Siller's heroic story. He's the fire fighter who ran through the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel to the Twin Towers in full gear to join his comrades in the rescue efforts and sadly lost his own live in the process. His foundation is a reminder to us all to support our first responders who put themselves in harm's way for the greater good.

Please join me and support me in my comeback race by donating to the Stephen Siller Foundation to help me reach my fundraising goal of $1000!
