BENEFITING: Twinnor Inc
Twinnor was founded in January of 2015 by three former college athletes and coaches (baseball, softball, and tennis). This founding board of the organization are determined to expand opportunities and access to sports for disadvantaged children around the US, and around the developing world.
The business plan is pretty simple:
Twinnor, Inc. seeks to leverage the enormous POWER and SIZE of organized YOUTH SPORTS in the US to increase ACCESS and OPPORTUNITIES to sports for underserved kids around the WORLD.
Twinnor offers a crowd funding system and platform that serves as a tool to pair, or TWINN, athletes and their supporers that benefit from participation in established sport systems (like the US YOUTH SPORT SYSTEM) with those that participate in underdeveloped or nonexistent sport systems.
Through the platform, athletes, teams, and their supporters raise funds for their chosen Twinned athletes, programs, and/or teams, in order to provide them with much needed equipment and/or increased opportunities to play their sport. In exchange, the Twinned athletes will provide their Twinnor (aka: donor, supporter) with frequent updates of their sports participation.
Twinnor, Inc. operates completely on donations and volunteers. The more funding Twinnor receives for operations, the more individual athletes and teams they can provide sports access to.
Twinnor received 501(c)3 designation from the IRS in March of 2015 and is now seeking donations to expand its operations.
Twinnor's primary expenses include:
- Twinnor athlete and team outreach in the U.S. (i.e., motivating athletes and their supporters to pay if forward to help kids in need)
- Build out and maintenance of the Twinnor.org website
- Crowdrise.com crowdfunding platform and credit card fees
We send 100% of donations made to athletes, teams, and programs featured on our www.crowdrise.com/Twinnor campaigns to our partners to fulfill your Twinned athletes' needs. We offset the credit card and overhead charges charged by Crowdrise through donations to our Operations Fund.
Further, the entire Twinnor organization is staffed completely by volunteers so 100% of your donation to the Operations Fund goes directly to funding the "nuts and bolts" of the organization.
We hope you can contribute to the growth of our innovative non-profit sport-for-development organization.
