In just 35 short days, we will be lacing up our running shoes to run the Chicago Marathon on behalf of the Make A Wish Foundation. For almost 20 years, MAW has granted wishes to over 11,000 children with life-threatening conditions…ranging from a trip to Disney World to meeting their sports hero. We are taking on this challenge in order to help this amazing organization, and we need your help!!
Your part is easy. All you need to do is commit to sponsoring us. Our part is a little tougher- we’ve committed to raising a combined $2,000 for the Foundation and to complete the 26.2 miles of the marathon, no matter how long it takes. Please consider donating anything you can- every penny truly does count!
Here’s how:

We know that sounds like a big number, and believe me, it was intimidating at first. But if you think about it, if we can just get 50 people to donate $40, or 100 to donate $20, we’ll be at our goal! Please consider sending this to any coworkers, friends, or family that may be willing to donate, as well. The more people, the better! And just in case you need a little extra motivation to donate, here are a few reasons:
1. If you donate, it means we have no excuse not to run (or crawl) the entire 26.2 miles
2. Your donation is tax deductible
3. To date, we have gone through a combined: 4 pairs of running shoes, 93 days of training, 14 straight Saturdays of waking up at the crack of dawn to run, and 690 total miles to prepare for the race
4. To make it easy, you can think about it this way- a typical cup of coffee at Starbucks is $5. Skip your trips there this week and donate to us instead (homemade tastes just as good anyway!)
5. If you donate, you’ll get a surprise from us in the mail after the marathon

Grant our wish and donate to this amazing organization!
