On April 15, 2015, the Texas State Aquarium suffered a devastating loss. A medicine that is commonly used in aquariums around the country was used in an attempt to control a parasite, and the medication caused an adverse reaction that resulted in the loss of many of our animals in Islands of Steel, Flower Gardens, and Lionfish. Our losses were great, but with the hard work of our dedicated staff and volunteers and the unwavering support from all of you we know that the Texas State Aquarium will emerge wiser for the experience and stronger for the future.
Joshua and I had our engagement photos taken at the aquarium. It marks the beginning of our lifelong adventure together, and we always talked about taking our kids there. We want to support them so that we can share the same joy we had there with Dustin. Thank you for all your donations! We look forward to continuing to spread the generosity through Dustin's life and showing him the meaning of giving.
