On November 8th Typhoon Haiyan, the worst of it’s kind, hit the Philippines. Severe winds upwards of 200+ mph devastated the city of Tacloban, which is the capital of the Philippine province of Leyte. Approximately 360 miles from Manila, it is estimated that over 10,000 people have been killed due to the typhoon. It is also estimated that nearly 4.2 Million people have been affected and are in dire need of help due to injury, thirst and hunger. With the death toll rising and the need for resources scarce, it is imperative that aid come from as many places as possible.
Please take the time and effort to donate all that you can to help relieve the people of the Philippines from this unspeakable disaster. Anything from Money, Clothes, non-perishable items, and etc… would be of tremendous help. As the holidays quickly approach let us realize what their meanings suggest, and look to give to those that are in need. Every little bit helps.
