BENEFITING: Epilepsy Foundation
EVENT DATE: Oct 25, 2015
My name is Tyler Hubbell and I was diagnosed with epilepsy early this year. I am 23 and a lifelong athlete. After my diagnosis I set several goals to show to myself and help others realize that our diagnosis' do not define who we are. As I consider myself an athlete, I gravitated to setting a large physical goal of completing an Ironman Triathlon.
As is began researching epilepsy and resources on how to better live with it I was quickly led to the epilepsy foundation. Through the foundation I learned a lot about not only my condition but about how common epilepsy is in society and that there are numerous individuals who suffer debilitating and chronic seizures such as those with Dravet Syndrome as well as other epilepsy syndromes.
I then found the athletes vs. epilepsy fundraising page and was super excited as I had already registered for my race. I am thrilled at the thought of raising funds and awareness for epilepsy and would love to have you join in my fight!
