THE STORY:

SOFTWARE PROGRAM TO ASSIST LEARNERS FIND COURSES AND APPLY FOR ADMISSION IN UNIVERSITIES IN AFRICA with marks they have obtain school It's the MIDDLE of the year again, somehow. The holidays are creeping up and before you know it we will be thrown headfirst in 2017.The internet is taking over, it's neutral, it's not, dogs have blogs and a disgruntled cat makes more than my annual salary. Your watch makes phone calls and a wedding ring has a silent mode. The question at hand is all these new technology are they really accommodating academics or just a way for teenagers to procrastinate even more ? todays technology todays technology Of course at some point its useful or comes in handy . I am an internet addict . I have the same problems all other students have. But once a year, at this time, students start to plan ways to help themselves in the coming academic year. Small steps and tricks to push myself into the person we want to be after university . I want to read more, I want to write, I want to know where i stand with my current academic marks or report. we are soon to approach the university registration period where by students have to apply to multiple universities with there current academic June results or report ,during this time period pupils or should i say students tend to not be aware of the variety of courses and tertiary institutions available ,not only that but also which institution will take them according to their marks .Students tend to be stressed at this time of the year ,some also not having met the requirements. failing to obtain required marks leads to future failure failing to obtain required marks leads to future failure what are tertiary institutions ? tertiary education as including universities as well as institutions that teach specific capacities of higher learning such as colleges, technical training institutes, community colleges, nursing schools, research laboratories, centers of excellence, and distance learning centers In South Africa, Grade 12 is the final year of high school. It is more commonly referred to as matric, which is itself short for matriculation. At the end of Grade 12, students are said to be matriculated. This also refers to the minimum requirement for progressing to University. On average, Grade 12 students are between the ages of 17 and 19. We therefore think that, creating a software of this kind will be of great importance to learners and can be up graded from time to if need be. Statement of the Problem •Most learners in South Africa do not know how to calculate their admission point score (APS) and this usually result to confusion when applying to tertiary institutions. • Most learners do not know when and where to apply as each tertiary institution in South Africa has its own requirements that need to be met for each diploma or degree program. Reasons been that, learners are continuously being occupied with school work and therefore time to look for tertiary institutions and check on their requirements and courses that they offer to apply is limited. A Matric result in South Africa is the most important part in matriculant’s academic and work life (http://www.futurahigh.co.za/ Retrieved, 17 March 2016), but they often find it difficult to gain admission into tertiary institutions. This is because most matriculants are not aware of the minimum mark requirement for each course at the different tertiary institutions. Therefore, a software of this type will be of great help to learners when applying for admission to these tertiary institutions and even those in 10 and 11 to apply for bursaries and to improve their marks based on the knowledge they have gained from the application Significance of the study • This application will help the average learner to find appropriate courses that match their academic scores. • It will give them more option of courses than they already know • The application will make the process of tertiary application faster having the knowledge of where to apply and what to apply for. Risks and challenges We've been working on U.A.P for over 3-4 years and had initially intended to launch in September 2015. We lost everything in a fire so t we couldn't deliver . Now that we are confident that we can deliver the high quality that we demand, we have not launched our campaign. The risks inherent in volume manufacturing are real and we’ve not taken every precaution to prepare for and actively address them should they arise. With the support of our manufacturing and distribution partners we are not well equipped for the challenges ahead. We promise to maintain transparency and to keep our backers updated and informed about any issues that may arise and our solutions to such. Our passion and mission is to deliver the best possible application U.A.P CAN into your hands ASAP. So please go back to the top of the page and support us with a pledge now.LET US MOVE TO GATHER FOR A BETTER FUTURE FOR YOUR CHILDREN AND OTHERS LET LOVE LED -T.B Joshua
