BENEFITING: U C San Diego Foundation
Health Frontiers in Tijuana (HFiT) is a binational, student-run, free clinic that operates weekly in Tijuana, Mexico. We are a diverse team of undergraduate volunteers, medical students, clinicians, and faculty from the UC San Diego School of Medicine and the Universidad Autónoma de Baja California. Since 2011, we have convened at our clinic site every Saturday to serve some of the region’s most vulnerable populations through our free health services. We offer a spectrum of care, ranging from clinical consults to mental health to HIV screening.
Our clinic has continually supported the poor and underserved in Tijuana who live in extremely harsh conditions. With the upcoming flu season, we also want to offer influenza vaccinations. These would be free for our patients, like all of the services we provide. This fundraising effort will enable us to purchase and administer these vaccines, and any extra funds to be used to re-stock supplies such as over-the-counter medications, thermometers, and wound care materials.
With your support, we can continue to offer consistent, high-quality care to those in desperate need. Thank you!
