THE STORY:

Sean Meany wrote -

Habitat for Humanity is a non-profit organization dedicated to eliminating homlessness by building simple, decent and affordable housing around the world. The UConn Habitat for Humanity Chapter is sending four trips across the country on Alternative Spring Breaks. Our group of 15 students is headed to Peoria, Arizona to work with the Central Arizona Habitat affiliate. In 2013 the Phoenix metro area had the third-highest percentage of people living in poverty among the 25 largest metropolitan areas in the country. In terms of population, that means 760,706 people in the Phoenix metro area live in poverty. They need our help and we need yours! Our group of 15 will be flying out of JFK Airport in NYC and flying into PHX airport in Arizona. Rental cars, flights, gas, and food can get expensive, so we are trying to raise money to make it easier on our college budgets. Our goal now is at least $100 per member, and I know with your help we can make that and more happen. Any contribution you can make would be appreciated very much!
