Uganda Make a Difference
Organized by: Peter Fink
A couple years ago, we began to turn a dream into a reality and started the adoption process. We are adopting a little boy and a little girl from Uganda. We decided to go on this journey for a variety of reasons. It is difficult to put words to the inner pull that we feel when it comes to adoption....but we'll try. We ventured to Africa many years ago to serve through Ambassadors in Sport and to travel. We immediately fell in love with the culture and the amazing little souls we worked with (especially in orphanages). The smiles, hugs, giggles, and unexplainable feeling that warms you when holding a parent-less child served as an impetus. It has been in our heart to adopt from Africa for almost a decade now and it has only been reinforced time and time again through our experience at work and time with refugee/African minors. There is a light in the eyes of a child that needs to be seen and felt. We believe every life matters and every child deserves to have a parent to tuck them in at night, hug and kiss them, play and giggle with them, and most importantly to shape who they become in a positive and beautiful way. We are so excited to parent children from Uganda and appreciate any support (in whatever form it comes) because love embodied changes everything and what better thing to change than a life!
