My Name is Aaron and this is my Chance to make a change by riding from Southampton UK and to finish in Rome Italy in the summer of 2014.
Myself and friend, both 22 years old and have toyed with the idea of a long haul ride but finally have the drive and time to finally put things in place.
As this is the first time we have ever looked to ride for a cause before, we're very excited to raise as much that is possible!
At just over 1,300 miles from here to there, its not a simple cycle and is taking alot of preperation. We still need to define which bikes will take us and the perfect time to set off so keep an eye out for the launch date!
Myself and Elliott have chosen 88Bikes as the perfect organisation to ride for as we are both passionate cycle enthusiasts and it only seemed fit to do this for a cause can both believe in.
I know the impact a new bike can bring so doing the thing I love most to give people the same feeling as me is all enthusiasm I need for this event along with knowing we can share this joy with others.
Myself working in the legal sector I’ve gained support amongst my colleagues here at work and Elliot currently at Southampton University is already showing strong support for our cause.
We want to make as many people as we can aware of our ride so the maximum potential can be met so not only do we get the pleasure of seeing parts of Europe which are missed by flying, but also so we know someone is benefiting from our hard work.
The goal has been set at $10,000 and we realise with this we are aiming high, but then there will always be more we can do to do better.
