THE STORY:

Please send us to Qatar!

We are 7 young people from the UK who are trying to raise money to go to the UN climate talks in November. Why do we want to go there? Well we just fancied a holiday....kidding!

We want a fair and legally binding climate deal which will bring us the healthy future we all need, and we will be there to remind politicians why they need to overcome their political difficulties and make decisions in line with the science.

We will be working every day to lobby politicians, and to communicate what is going on in the talks back home. And we will be working with young people from all over the world to do this. We are travelling out several days before the conference to help organise a 'conference of youth', where we will be running sessions to help global youth to understand how the UN works and how we can make an impact.

You can meet us here (http://ukycc.org/cop_delegation/) and you can find out more about the UN climate talks and how they work here (http://ukycc.org/a-guide-to-the-un/).

We are all young volunteers, and are taking time off work or our studies to do this because we truly believe it is a vitally important thing to do. We are a fantastic team made up of artists, campaigners, policy experts and communications experts. We are working hard to raise the estimated £1200 each we need for travel, accommodation and resources while out there, running fundraisers, selling cakes, giving talks and working extra jobs. Any money you can donate would be very appreciated, and we will thank all those who donate on our website, as well as send you updates telling you how we get on.
