The University Laboratory School Speech Team qualified 4 students to the National Tournament this year in Humorous Interpretation, Duo Interpretation, and Lincoln-Douglas Debate. Congrats to Austin T., Danielle W., Christian W., and Cayleigh S and of course their coach, Mr. Teter!
While this is of course wonderful news, it has created some practical challenges for us involving judging responsibilities at the tournament and travel expenses for the students—and so we’re asking for your kokua.
In addition to this fundraiser, The ULS Speech Team will be putting on a special program on Sunday, May 3. We will provide light refreshments and drinks, and our students will perform a variety of pieces demonstrating the various categories of speech and debate, including performances by our students who have qualified for the National Tournament.
The program will be held in the Band Room at the University Laboratory School from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. We will be asking for a donation of $5.00 for adults and $2.00 for children 14 and under.
