BENEFITING: KIDS HURT TOO HAWAII
EVENT DATE: Nov 28, 2014
Help me compete in the 2014 Ultraman World Championships, a 320 mile triathlon around the Big Island of Hawaii to benefit foster kids of Hawaii.
The race entails a:
6.2 mile ocean swim south along the Kona coast
261.4 mile bike over Hawaii's volcanoes
52.4 mile double marathon run through the scorching black lava fields.
I've been the crew driver for the 6x Ultraman World Champion in 2012 & 2013.
I've dedicated 5 years of my life thus far to be able to compete in this race. Quit my job, sold most of my possessions, moved 3,000 miles from everything and anyone I've ever known. I now live very minimally on a very small income without many of life's comforts or luxuries. I'm very grateful for those who help me (an athletic nobody) out with bikes (Cycle Station Hawaii), Shoes (SCOTT USA), and chiropractic care (Makai Chiropractic) sponsorships. Without their help, life would be much more difficult!
My goal for this race: Top American athlete. This is an ambitious goal with the injury setbacks I've had this year, but I still have my sights set on it.
The Island of Hawaii has given me the opportunity to find, re-invent, and take my life to the next level. I'd like to give something back. That's why you're here.
Children are born innocent. They're also our future. What better way to give back, than to help those who will lead in our future? "Kids Hurt Too" is a charity I've chosen to raise money for. Please view their website to see what they're all about.
