THE STORY:
As New York City high school students, we are fortunate to attend a school like Eleanor Roosevelt High School that is properly supplied with desks, chairs, and other educational necessities. In Malawi, however, 70% of students do not have a desk or a chair. UNICEF’s campaign called KIND (Kids In Need of Desks) aims to provide them with these basic tools. Our group made it a goal to raise $1,300, which would provide a whole class of students with the desks and supplies they urgently need. Donations of any amount, big or small, will go directly towards helping these children receive a better education, allowing them to better pursue their interests and dreams.
