United for Ecuador
Organized by: Tiffany Blake
When a 7.8 magnitude earthquake hit Ecuador on Saturday 4/16, vast stretches of the country’s coastline were flattened. In both large cities and small villages, people lost their families, their homes, and their livelihood. As the hope of finding more people alive has faded, all efforts now focus on providing basic living conditions to the disaster’s survivors. Those survivors need our help. Join us as we show them that they are not alone. We stand united. We stand for Ecuador. Where will the money go? We will use all funds to personally make bulk purchases of items from the Ecuadorian Ministry’s official list of needed goods (such as water, sleeping bags, tents, infant formula, flashlights, etc.) and deliver those goods to embassy drop-off points or directly to JFK airport. TAME airlines will ship all donations directly to Ecuador to be distributed to the coastal areas in need.
