THE STORY:
Join United Airlines to help the people of Saipan as they recover and rebuild from Typhoon Soudelor. The Commonwealth of Northern Mariana Islands, specifically Saipan, suffered a direct hit from Typhoon Souledor on August 2 leaving hundreds without homes and thousands without power and essential supplies. Working with the Ayuda Foundation in Guam, funds raised through this campaign will provide direct relief assistance to those who need it most in Saipan. The Ayuda Foundation is a 501C3 non-profit based in Guam that is dedicated to helping Pacific islanders, especially our Micronesian region, in times of need. Ayuda was founded by Carlotta Leon Guerrero, a former senator and journalist, with Dr. Mike Cruz, of the Guam Medical Society, and Christine Nilsen, of Continental Micronesia, Inc. Our mission is to deliver medical, human services and development assistance throughout the Pacific region.
