Since Milwaukee is one of the most segregated cities in the country, id like for us to organize a day or preferably a weekend; where people of ALL creeds, race, occupation and orientation gather together to share stories, compassion, food, music, arts, free clothing, furniture and rummage, a body to hug and a shoulder to cry on. Open mic stages for: public speeches but not to protest, to spread love, stories, poetry, music and art and dance performances. This would not be about cultures or anything but genuine care for human life. An event without segregation and grouping of races and cultures. Not saying there is anything wrong with that, culture is a beautiful thing.. But most of the festivals that we have here in Milwaukee are Cultural based, so lets put that aside for a day or two AT the event and acknowledge everybody as human. This would be a non-alcoholic event (of course), a judgment free zone, and honestly a beautiful thing to see.
