Received our first donation! This ignited the motivation even more, because we learned that people really do care and respect the idea. See More

THE STORY:

I've sat down in front of multiple people and organizations pertaining to this issue, voicing my concerns thoroughly, but still being sent away with a mere "Goodluck"! That hasn't stopped me. My wife, a woman of tremendous passion towards the youth in her country, sold me on the absolute difference that can be made by simply sitting down, with people who care. So I began to invest my time, a lot of time in finding out and putting together a program to educate and inspire those less fortunate, regardless of their circumstances. Encouragement is a powerful advocate for good. Nonetheless, it still requires a group effort. That being said, myself and Nora (my wife) have put together a plan to launch America's equivalent of the boy's and girls club. A place where children can come to interact, socialize and learn. Learn something more beneficial than what they are finding in the streets, or not finding at all. Our plan is to sign a 1 year lease, at one of the many vacant buildings in the capital city of Pristine. I have made a friend here in the states, who would help with shipping of many books, a few computers, board games, equipment for sporting activities and a few others. We have a few people interested in helping with language training in English, German, as well as French through computer programs and expired language instruction texts. We also have a handful of current college students who would volunteer with the supervision of these children. My wife and her family are some of the most beautiful people I have met in my time. Her father is an advocate of justice, currently trying to tackle the larger problem of corruption in their country. Her mom has already committed to helping in any way she can, most likely being that highly respectable nanny like figure to our group. Ultimately we plan on opening up the eyes of as many kids as we can, hoping to inspire them to harness their potential. Someone once told me to make a career out of doing something you love. Well, for as long as I can remember, helping those less fortunate has always been my soft spot, but I've chosen to embrace and strive higher in that direction. My wife and I, share that same soft spot.
