BENEFITING: University Settlement Society of New York
University Settlement’s Park Slope North/Helen Owen Carey Child Development Center is a vibrant, multicultural preschool for children of diverse socio-economic backgrounds in Brooklyn, New York.
The Parent Advisory Committee supports the school by funding social events, a scholarship program for teachers, the school's garden program, and significant upgrades to play materials and spaces.
The staff, teachers and parents of our school firmly believe that young children learn best through play. It is through play that children learn to ask questions, search for answers, navigate social situations, and learn to make sense of the world around them. This dedicated philosophy, along with our truly unique outdoor playspaces, is part of what makes PSN/HOC such a special place. The ability to upgrade the equipment in these spaces will bring endless enrichment and joy to both the current students and future students to come. The Annual Direct Appeal is the PAC's major fundraiser for the year - WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT!
