Take Root is the first missing child agency founded by former abducted-children, to utilize the collected wisdom of survivors to improve America's missing child response. Take Root provides a landmark support program for victims of child abduction when they are no longer missing, and, offers groundbreaking training and education on the victimology of child abduction for multidisciplinary professionals, impacted families, and the public.
The Bad News : the federal budget crisis has trickled down to Take Root. The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children had to face deep cuts, and was forced to withdraw their underwriting of Take Root "for the foreseeable future." This left us, quite literally, on the brink of having to close our doors for good.
The Good News : WE GOT A MIRACLE. An angel stepped forward with a remarkable offer. They will match every donation we receive between now and National Missing Children's Day on May 25th, dollar for dollar, up to $10,000. we have an incredible chance to restore almost HALF of the lost NCMEC funding - buying us the time needed to figure out a plan.
But we cannot do it without you.
If you donate right now, your $10 becomes $20, $25 becomes $50, $100 becomes $200, and so on.
But wait, there is, as they say, more - if we meet the goal, our anonymous donor has agreed to let us reveal their identity as part of the celebrations.
Please help us unmask a superhero today. Please make any donation you can, and share this challenge with your friends. Your effort makes you a superhero, too! Together, we can save Take Root.
