Ken is 25 year-old education activist and lover of education. Born in the crossroads of Mindanao, Philippines where terrorist groups, the Abusayaf and Isis, spreads terror by day and where education seems impossible. These do not stop him from finishing school and accessing education, and finidng it instead as an inspiration to be successful. He is recipient of various prestigious scholarships such as the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Japanese Government Funds, and the recent Ford Foundation International Scholarship.
Ken says that "The saga for access to education continues, especially in Mindanao. Work has to continue, inspiring the youth and continue encouraging the government to mobilize resources for education."
The work is yet to be over for Kennith. He intends to attend the UN Summit this September 2015 to share best practices with other young leaders across the globe for the benefit of the oppressed, of the underprivileged youth of Mindanao.
