After five years going full competition mode, Joshua Rogers, returns to Junior Elite 17-18 with thirty-one podiums over forty-six races and his final year before turning Pro. His 2015 season exceeded all expectations with a sixth place at the Gravity Nationals, top twenty quallies in both North American World Cups (MSA and Wyndham), and the privilege of sporting the Stars and Stripes in Andorra on Team USA at the World Championships.
Now it's 2016 and I've been named to the 2016 World Championship Team again. I'm honored and deighted to put on the red, white and blue jersey again.
My dad and mom have worked very hard supporting me in my dream. They split their time between my racing and my little sister's competitive volleyball. My dad saves all his vacation each year just take me to all the races. I have traveled all over the US and have made so many friends. My dad calls them extended family. This year alone I have raced in Port Angels, WA, Angel Fire, NM, Lenzerheide, Switzerland, Mammoth, CA, Killington, VT, Mont Sainte-Anne, Canada.
USA Cycling funds the number 1 and 2 riders. I'm not one of those riders but they are awesome riders and friends. The money will be used to pay for my travel to and from Val di Sole, bike baggage fees, transportation and the fee to USA Cycling.
Any money raised over my cost will be donated to the Wounded Warriors Project. Since I'm representing the US, why don't I give back to the ones that protect me and allow me to have this opportunity to chase my dreams?
