Join the Chicago Branch and Emerging Professionals in getting active and raise money for our annual Rebuilding Together Day of Service. Take a look left at some pictures and a short video on the house we did last year.
Running with the USGBC- Illinois Chapter for the Shamrock Shuffle will insure that Ms. Jones and her daughter have the safe, warm, and comfortable home they need now. Through your generous donation they will have a healthy, green and sustainable renovation sure to last a lifetime.
This year we've selected a house in the West Englewood neighborhood. The homeowner Ms. Jones is a sweet 79-year old woman with a paralyzed arm who has lived in the house since 1976. Her 57-year old daughter moved back in to the home to help care for her. There is such a loving dynamic between these two women and they are very active in their block club.
In the spirit of volunteerism and community partnership, Rebuilding Together * Metro Chicago improves the homes and neighborhoods of elderly, disabled and low-income residents so that they may continue to live in warmth, safety and comfort.
To get involved:
1- Register for the Shamrock Shuffle Shamrock Shuffle Registration
2- Sign up here with our team Run for Rebuilding
3- Blog, tweet, and post to help meet our goal of $5000!
Don’t want to run? No problem, volunteer to help man one of our water stations!
We will have some fun events leading up to the big run like group runs with a coach to give us tips on training and more!
