BENEFITING: U.S. Green Building Council - Illinois Chapter
EVENT DATE: Apr 07, 2013
I'm running or going to try to run an 8k! I'm doing it for a good cause, I hope you'll sponsor me and come cheer for our team on April 7!!
Join the Chicago Branch in getting active and raise money for our annual Rebuilding Together Day of Service. Here’s a short video on what we did last year.
Running with the USGBC for the Shamrock Shuffle will insure that they not only have the safe, warm, and comfortable home they need now. But through your generous donation they will have a healthy, green and sustainable renovation sure to last a lifetime.
This year we've selected a house in the West Englewood neighborhood. The homeowner Ms. Jones is a sweet 79-year old woman with a paralyzed arm who has lived in the house since 1976. Her 57-year old daughter moved back in to the home to help care for her. There is such a loving dynamic between these two women and they are very active in their block club.
In the spirit of volunteerism and community partnership, Rebuilding Together * Metro Chicago improves the homes and neighborhoods of elderly, disabled and low-income residents so that they may continue to live in warmth, safety and comfort.
