BENEFITING: INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION FOR HUMAN VALUES
It has been 2 weeks since Himalayan Tsunami struck. IAHV and Art of Living Volunteers have been working tirelessly at Ground Zero helping Indian army with rescue- relief and immediate restoration efforts. You can read the moving stories of evacuees and the updates from Ground Zero AOL Team here.
Many of the stories that Bhartendu and Swami Divyanand shared on the Wednesday night call with Ground Zero are too shocking to put in writing. There is tonnes of food but people are unable to eat due to trauma--they are providing much needed care and support, apart from setting up make-shift medical camps and relief shelters, we need your help in reaching out and raising funds.
The need of the hour is to raise awareness, seek out Indian communities who are interested in supporting long term rehabilitation of the area and setting up partnership with organizations like religious organization ( temples, churches, Gurudwaras).
We need your help in taking this effort to the next level so that we can serve as many of the hundreds of thousands of locals left homeless.
Since last one week our IAHV Team in USA has been getting outreach support from Overseas Volunteers for Better India to bring people together from various communities to spread awareness about this tragedy and to collect donations.
YOU can make a difference! Your time and support
IAHV team has created flyers, facebook cover page, donation slips to distribute at AOL centers, Religious places, shops, restaurants. They can be found at IAHV Relief Fund Resources Link
