Valiant Service Dogs
Organized by: Valiant Service Dogs
We are a family who is starting a non-profit organization in honor of our nephew, Shea William Porter, SPC, 4/25 ABCT, 3/509 PIR. He served in Afghanistan during 2009-2010. He left our great U. S. Army in 2012. On February 7, 2015, our beloved hero died. We love dogs and our Veterans, so what better way to give back to those who have given so much for us than to provide those in need with a service dog. Valiant is defined as having or showing courage, being very brave or courageous. We believe our service dogs will be a valiant buddy for our Veterans and bring them HOPE. Valiant Service Dogs is ready to move forward in providing puppies to be placed with Veterans who will be trained to be a service dogs. The puppies will be ready to be picked up on April 22, 2016 by April, the founder and trainer of Midnight Suns Service Dogs of Anchorage, Alaska. We are also moving forward in relationship with local trainers, preparing to provide a puppy and service dog training locally in Hampton, Virginia. Please help us reach our financial goal which will help immediately place puppies with Veterans, provide training, and cover the cost of starting and operating this non-profit. If you have any questions about the program please contact Jamie at 757-224-7679.
