Mountain for Mammaries is a grassroots effort in the fight against breast cancer!
A journey of a lifetime starts by taking the first step... Our journey began in May of 2012 when Tami had her first mammogram. An unusual finding prompted a six month recheck and Tami's diagnosis was confirmed following a biopsy on December 10, 2012. We were so very blessed with amazing insurance and an overwhelming support system, we decided to make a difference in the lives of others.
After recovering from a double mastectomy and reconstruction, we were ready to meet the challenge.
Mountain for Mammaries is a grass roots effort to raise awareness of the importance of early detection in the fight against breast cancer; and also raise the funds necessary to pay for mammograms, ultra sounds and biopsies for those in need. The procedure can seem scary enough, we hope to eliminate the financial burden for those without insurance, or those who are under insured.
Since 2013 M4M has raised over $33,000 to fund the life saving gift of early detection. For 2016, we have set an aggressive goal to raise $10,000; and we are so blessed to be partnering with Tina McDonough and her non-profit organization, Valley Girls and Guys (see below to learn more about Tina and what VGG is doing).
Any donation made using this link will be directly applied to M4M c/o VGG to fund early detection
Early detection saves lives - I am living proof!!
Thank you for your support, Ren & Tami Kapule

Valley Girls & Guys! is not only a non-profit but we are also a 3 day team for Susan G Komen for the Cure that walks 60 miles over the course of 3 days! This year with over 180+ walkers we will be walking in Seattle, San Diego, Twin Cities and Philly! Not only do we fundraise for Susan G. Komen but we also raise money for our blankets of comfort and hope and The WHO House. To date we have sent over 630+ personalized blankets to cancer patients all over the world. Regardless of what type of cancer, age and/or if they are going through diagnosis, treatment, survivorship, or hospice we want them to know that we are here for them, walking and fundraising to find a CURE! The Who House harnesses the power of community to support cancer patients and their families and is designed for those going through this horrible to disease to have a place and outreach for support, services and more! The Who House also provides WHO DREAMS for those terminal with cancer and serves as a unique and great way to make that final dream/wish come true!
