BENEFITING: AUTISM SPEAKS
EVENT DATE: Jul 13, 2013
Who: Camrin and Jocelyn Freimuth
What: Running a 50 mile ultra-marathon (yes, 50 miles...)
Where: Devil's Lake State Park, Baraboo, WI
When: July 13th, 2013
Why: On January 11th of this year, we lost our big sister Vanessa. Her death was sudden and unexpected, four days after she had her first baby (and our first niece) and at only 27 years of age. She was an incredible young woman and the best big sister whom we looked up to very much.
Her passion for helping others and her work as a therapist was her life. She was a therapist for children and teens who were autistic and often participated in charitable walks for autism. Her love for those kids was the ultimate display of selflessness and unconditional care and love.
In her memory and name, Jocelyn and Camrin will be running a 50 mile ultra marathon in hope to to raise $5,000 to offer to Autism Speaks, to continue Vanessa's service to those children she cared so much for.
All money raised will go to Autism Speaks, an organization that is dedicated to research, advocacy, & awareness of autism. You can read more about them at their website here.
